The engine
One engine. It chooses the model.
The web apps are not downloaded: you use them from this site, in the browser. On your computer you install one thing only, the AssoSoftware engine: the program that runs the artificial intelligence and keeps folders and archives in order. You do not have to choose anything: on installation the engine measures your computer — processor, memory, graphics card — and downloads by itself, once only, the most suitable model from its public source. From about 1.7 GB on the simplest computers to over 25 GB on those with a dedicated graphics card.
- Choose your systemThe page recognises it by itself. On Windows one file; on Mac, Linux and Android a single command to paste. Nothing to extract by hand.
- The engine gets readyIt measures the computer and downloads the right model. It starts by itself at every power-on, with no windows left open.
- Come back here and workThe web apps stay on asso.software; the work and the data stay with you.
- Open the downloaded file with a double click: it installs itself, nothing to extract.
- If Windows warns that the file is not commonly downloaded, choose «More info → Run anyway»: it happens with new programs that are not yet signed.
- When it has finished, come back here and open the web apps.
- Open Terminal: press ⌘ and the space bar, type «Terminal» and press Return.
- Press «Copy» below, paste into Terminal with ⌘ V and press Return.
- Wait for the message «AssoSoftware è pronto» (AssoSoftware is ready), then close Terminal and come back here.

- Open the Terminal (on Ubuntu and Kali: Ctrl + Alt + T).
- Press «Copy» below, paste into the Terminal with Ctrl + Shift + V and press Enter.
- Wait for the message «AssoSoftware è pronto» (AssoSoftware is ready), then come back here.

- Install the free Termux app from F-Droid (the Play Store one is old and does not work).
- Open Termux, press «Copy» below, hold your finger on the Termux screen, choose «Paste» and press Enter.
- Wait for the message «AssoSoftware è pronto» (AssoSoftware is ready), then open asso.software in Chrome on this phone.
curl -fsSL https://asso.software/installa.sh | shA 64-bit phone or tablet is needed. The Android package has not yet been tested on a real phone. To have it restart by itself at power-on, also install Termux:Boot from F-Droid. File for manual installation: Android ARM 64 bit.
On iPhone and iPad the engine cannot be installed: Apple does not allow programs of this kind outside the App Store. The web apps open anyway in the browser, without the model's features.

Where it works
The site everywhere, the engine wherever it can run
The web apps are pages of the site: they open in the browser of any computer, tablet or phone. The artificial intelligence features, instead, are run by the engine, which must sit on the device and run a model. Here is today's situation, told as it is.

On Mac, Linux and Android one command is enough (see «How to install»); in all of them the engine chooses the model. Il pacchetto per Android si usa dentro Termux e non è ancora stato provato su un telefono vero. Su iPhone e iPad Apple non permette di installare un motore fuori dall'App Store: la strada allo studio è un modello piccolo che gira direttamente dentro il browser, senza installare nulla.

The engine runs the model on your computer: no queue on other people's servers, and what you write is sent to nobody.

Every web app keeps its data on this computer, in the browser and in the AssoSoftware folder you choose. Passwords are never stored in plain text. How the archives are built (in Italian).
